I am starting to teach myself piano, and want a piano that has weighted keys so it resembles a ‘real’ piano, without being pricey and large.

Because of the price, I would have to get a 61 key stage piano (like a keyboard sized digital piano). Would this be good for learning piano? I am mostly playing songs from youtube tutorials on pianos, so I want it to sound as close to a real piano as possible.

Can a person start learning piano and become a pianist at 33 years old.?

I am 33. I started learning piano 3 months ago. I discover that is the best thing that I like. If I could make some money as a pianist I could dedicate from 5-10 hs per day to play the piano.

learning piano?

ive heard that you can teach your self how to play on a electic piano because they give you each note to play as a number on th e key board, is it like learning how to type?

What is more important while learning the piano?

Is it
A) Not knowing how to play many pieces, and learning a medium-hard piano piece slowly, while taking your time do master the notes and perfect the piece musically?
or
B) Knowing how to play lots of piano pieces, Learning multiple medium hard pieces in a short period of time (often in an attempt to show off your skill of knowing how to play many pieces)

I am trying to learn piano on my own through the use of books, DVDs, the internet, etc. Any tips for learning?

I really love the sound of piano and really want to learn. I will be taking a class in college for piano at the end of August but I want to get my feet wet so to speak and learn before then. Have you taught yourself how to play piano and is there any useful advice, resources, or tips you can provide? Any information provided would be greatly appreciated :-) .

Thanks

I'm trying to learn a piano song by ear,and I wanted to know if learning piano song by ear is very accurate?

I’m playing a song by piano,by ear,and I’m not sure if it’s very accurate.it sounds right, but is it being played right?the song is because I’m stupid by SS501.I’m only a beginner and I just want to know if learning piano by ear is as accurate as reading the notes.

Is learning to play the piano a good idea?

I really want to do something having to do with music. I was always told I would be amazing at piano because of my long, nimble fingers. I mean, I’m pretty good at typing (even though it has nothing to do with it). In other words, is the piano something worth learning, or is another instrument more fulfilling?

Would like to learn the piano, is it a good idea to start learning the basics on a keyboard?

I have seen mixed answers. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a piano or keyboard, but i would like to start somewhere.

Is it too late to start learning violin or piano?

I’m 18, but I already know how to read music, have a good pitch and I already play classical guitar. Is it too late to start learning violin or piano? And when I say I want to learn, I mean I want to learn professionally and be able to play in orchestras.
I don’t want a career as a violinist, but I want to be able to play professionally in orchestras.

Does anyone know a good website for learning piano sheet music?

I need a website that will teach me the different chords…And will teach me how to read the sheet music.
P.S
I really want to learn how to read piano sheet music. :)
