I was talking with my dad, and I told him I wanted to learn to sing, play piano, and play guitar (not necessarily in that order), and he said that I should take piano lessons first (I’m still planning to take lessons on all of those, just that I only have time for 1 right now, because I’m so busy), and that it will help me with singing later on. Is that true? Thanks :]
Also, I’m interested in learning both and can’t choose… but thanks Lester :]

You should start on the instrument you’re interested in because that will keep you motivated to keep practicing until you’re successful. If that’s guitar, then start with that. There is absolutely no reason to start with piano; I disagree with your dad.

I’d say definitely learn an instrument before learning to sing, just because it’ll be easier to understand the theory if there are physical key’s or strings you can associate with notes.

As far as guitar or piano first, I’m not sure. Piano is kind of like the ’standard’ instrument, so that could be a reason to learn it first.

Piano is a good starter instrument to understand the notes and theory then guitar because you can easily get by learning guitar without knowing any theory.
